Toronto Hydro is in the process of  laying off workers from the front-line (labourer, clerks, technical support positions), middle management to executives and some of the private companies hired by Toronto Hydro to do some of its work to save $20 millions.  The decision from Toronto Hydro's boss comes after the Ontario Energy Board had denied its request to hike fees.

The new fee would have amount to about $5/month and was needed to replace aging infrastructures and prevent power outages.  However the Ontario Energy Board questioned the dire warnings from Toronto Hydro as not being that bad.  They are saying that Toronto Hydro is blowing the issue out of proportion. 

With Apple's recent high profile cases of bringing patent violations against the likes Samsung, Google and any company it sees as a threat to its business, Apple is starting to get a taste of its own medicine.  It is being sued by a company in China that is in bankrupt and restructuring proceedings called Proview who had the original trademark name of iPad in China.
